Saturday Swimming Lessons
On Saturdays we run all levels catering from babies of 4 months
of age through to high level stroke correction groups.
Four classes run consecutively on the 1/2 hour.
School Holiday Program
This program runs on selected school holidays. This is a great opportunity for those children unable to make a commitment during the term and also to those who want to consolidate their skills. Classes are run for 5 or 10 days (Monday - Friday) with children attending swimming lessons everyday. This enables them to accelerate their learning as there is less need for revision. There are also less distractions and other commitments (sport and homework) so concentration levels are generally higher.

Infants Movement To Music
Suitable for babies from 4 months to approximately 2 years. A great way to enjoy the water combining activities and music. Good for rhythm, co-ordination, water orientation, socialising, balance and relaxation. A non threatening environment to allow you to come along and try the facilities. Facilitated by a qualified AUSTSWIM Infant Instructor.
Classes run every Wednesday during school terms 1.00pm - 1.30pm and every Thursdays at 930am - 10am.
$12 for bub and carer together as of T2 2024.
Infants & Preschool Swimming Lessons
Launceston Swim School has a very extensive infant program. The program is developmentally based and a great way to start an aquatic program for very young infants. It gives them the opportunity to interact with others of similar ages and at similar developmental stages. Our infant instructors are all very experienced and caring and have a good grounding in helping you to understand our program. The lessons are planned with water safety, water orientation and motor skill development in mind and are presented through songs, games activities to encourage a routine the infants will understand. There are 6 parents and babies per group and each lesson goes for 1/2 an hour. Instructors will explain each activity so carers can develop an understanding of the purpose of each skill and how they relate to the child's developmental stage.
We run three lessons consecutively so you may find you are in the water with your baby and your toddler is in an independent class with their instructor at the same time.

Toddler Swimming Classes
We cater for toddlers of all levels from beginners to advanced pre-schoolers. Our very experienced and caring instructors will work in the water with the children,
encouraging them to explore the water and to learn new skills, advancing them with water safety techniques as well as swimming skills. Children are grouped according to their ability in small groups of 4 giving them every opportunity to get the most out of every swimming lesson.

Swimming Classes for School Age Children
Catering to school age children with classes grouped according to ability. Four children per group for beginners, basic strokes and stroke development. Five children per group in advanced class levels. Discounts for swimming lessons available for families of 3 or more.
We allow some time for feedback with parent/carers so that you are kept informed and have the opportunity to ask questions of your instructor.
Lessons run per school term (4 terms per year) with no lessons on public holidays. Four classes run consecutively which allows for families with more than 1 child to often have lessons at the same time but in different groups.

School Groups Swimming Lesson
We cater to school groups during school hours and are able to offer AUSTSWIM Accredited Experienced teachers to assist with teaching if required. All equipment provided.
